Hybrid lean facilitator training 

July 19-21, 2016


Team activities and presentations will provide opportunities to practice Lean concepts including:  Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Implementation,  Campus Lean Structure and Facilitation Skills.  The classroom schedule and agenda is provided in the Training Info Sheet.


Projects to be completed on their home campus include:  VSM, Kaizen, 5S, and Reflection Essays.

The hybrid training is unique in that it provides part of the content online and then reinforce the online material with classroom experiences over a 3 day period.  On Thursday a special treat is offered by our host campus and facilitated by the trainer, Karen Kusler.  Two tours of departments improved with use of Lean on the Everett Community College Campus will be conducted and followed by a panel discussion of Lean Subject Matter Experts (SME).




Prior to July 12 the students are to complete the online training modules and activities including:

.  History of Lean

.  Lean Value and Terminlolgy

.  8 Areas of Wasate

.  Lean Team Development and Roles

.  5S and Visual Controls

- Online Component due July 12 (estimated time to complete is 6-12 hours)

- Classroom Component is 8:00-5:00 pm July 19-21

- Homework Projects completed following coursework
